Well it seems Hillary has finally seen the writing on the wall and has decided to at least consider admitting her chances are slim to none in recieving her party's nomination. To many of the democrats (socialists) this has come too late and many feel it should have been done months ago. Its hard to figure out what the Clinton camp is thinking in deciding their next move. I personally feel she is not going to concede the entire election to Obama and will drag it out to the convention and may I say, that doesn't bother me one bit. If we are lucky enough to see Hillary continue the fight all the way to the convention, we might get to see the second installment of the '68 democratic convention. If that is the case, the damge done to the democratic party might be incalculable. We may see a split in the factions and witness hundreds of thousands of voters who feel disinfranchised flee to never look back. In any case, it would make for some great reading for conservatives and a definite advantage for McCain.
Which brings me to my next point.......John McCain and the conservative vote. I will be the first to admit, McCain was not my first choice to represent us this fall. But the fact is, he is. I am dis-heartened by the number of Republicans who have not come to terms with this fact and vow to stay home instead of voting. Believe me, this is your right as an American and you can do what you will. But faced with the alternative, Barack Obama, why would we cut off our face to spite the nose? The idea of a Obama presidency scares the hell out of me. I have never seen a candidate who has policies this radical, leftist, and idiotic. To me, Obama makes George McGovern look like Ronald Reagan. Probably the most amazing thing is he doesn't hide his views from the American public. Yet at every rally, there are thousands cheering as he tells them how he plans to thwart free enterprise, individual freedom and responsibility, the free market, the troops fighting in Iraq, and so on. This man has stepped in it so often, I find it hard to believe there are people still willing to listen to his ramblings. His plans for our nation are vague yet sound so wonderful to the masses that many have put away their brains and willed their future to a man we really don't know much about. But hey......he's not George Bush, right? What we do know about him should scare the hell out of people but again I go back to one of my earlier posts when I asked if liberals really know what they are endorsing? Do they know the history of their movement and politics? Call one of them a socialist and they look at you like your an idiot. The fact is a great majority have not a clue as to the precepts of liberalism or socialism. So faced with that dilemma, can we not rally around the lesser of two evils and send McCain to the White House? There are times when we have to be friendly to those we question because faced with the alternative, we would be much worse off. I would encourage all to look at our support of the Soviet Union during WWII, support for Afghanistan against the Russians, Iraq over Iran during their war, and so on. Barack Obama will lose the election this fall because of his leftist policies. While I feel America drifts towards socialism everyday, I do not feel America will embrace his radical plans just yet. If I am wrong.....God help us.
I find it hard to believe there are people who think Obama's plan to withdraw troops from Iraq is smart and will benefit our nation. Why would we leave after all the blood and treasure spent while we are so close to winning this war? I would again ask you to view the article from the Washington Post and tell me if retreating now makes any sense?

Doesn't he know they will be burning our flag and parading down streets in the middle east? Doesn't he know they will be saying they defeated the "great Satan" and that they drove the infidels from their lands? Doesn't he know it will increase recruiting for the terrorists? With the news from many sources that Al Qaeda is on the brink of destruction, its hard to quantify how much longer the war on terror has gone on due to the democrats enabling the enemy to fight on. I do not doubt for one minute that Al Qaeda leaders have been telling their fighters to "hang on......America is getting weak and public sentiment for the war is waning. The democrats are about to force a surrender and they are turning their own people against the war." Its hard to tell how long they have tried to hold on and continue the fight, hoping America would act like the "Paper Tiger" Osama Bin Laden said we were. The Soviet Union found people like Obama and todays democratic party as allies and referred to the left in this country during the cold war as "useful idiots". It appears the idiots are at it again, giving aid and comfort to our enemies during a time of war. In any other terms, this would be classified as treason.
